Fact check fail. Blitzer didn't blame the right. Dunno about Matthews, but depending where you got your other information...
JGalt - April 18, 2013, 6:48 am
CNN’s Peter Bergen blames it on right wing extremism because it was not an al Quaeda peroxide bomb, but conventional explosives which are harder to get....sheesh
JGalt - April 18, 2013, 6:43 am
you forgot about leading liberal mouthpieces Blitzer and Matthews blaming the right for this attack

I agree on term limits as well. Agree also that it wouldn't fix the problem, but it's an attempt, and that's better than doing nothing.
Renza - April 22, 2013, 2:08 pm
As unfortunate as it is, there is much truth to that. It would be nice if there were a way to forcibly impose term limits on all governmental positions. wouldn't fix the problem, but it would at least help a bit.
falconfan00 - April 22, 2013, 1:33 pm
Agreed. Good news just doesn't get the viewership. Regarding govrnmnt... Under the current system, men seeking power supported by big money are the only ones we can chose between come election time. Ergo, I'd argue they're more prone to corruption.
Renza - April 22, 2013, 1:25 pm
It's not really more of the corruption in governments that causes problems, I could see an argument for corruption being harder to come by, or at least weaker, in a smaller government. Most people are generally good though, just don't often hear about it
falconfan00 - April 22, 2013, 10:55 am
I really dig this. Just goes to show that 'people' are, for the most part, inherently good; it is governments that cause problems. That is why i want my government smaller, not bigger.

Breaking news from this morning, one suspect dead, one at large after gunfight with police. Reported to be (legal) immigrants from Chechnya or "a Russian region near Chechnya." I'm sure things will be clarified as the situation develops...

PF. For some reason, I didnt think you could be so naive as to believe the above act would have prevented the Boston bombing. Do you honestly believe that the federal govt could have prevented this? If so, I have a bridge for sale.

ooh a new conspiracy theory to have fun with
ipaprime - April 20, 2013, 8:20 am
I was meaning an actual conspiracy , not a conspiracy theory

I have an entirely different view of the matter, boys.
PapaFox - April 19, 2013, 6:08 pm
He used to actually defend his posts until he got proven dead wrong a few times, now he mostly remains silent.
Renza - April 19, 2013, 5:37 pm
Yeah, people keep saying he's legitimately as crazy as he posts, but I'm still not convinced he isn't a troll
Cannabal - April 19, 2013, 4:53 pm
Ever consider the possibility that maybe, just maybe, Vick is an agent provocateur?
PapaFox - April 19, 2013, 2:47 pm
Unfortunately the most common conspiracy type is the ones that are complete BS, haven't a shred of evidence, yet gullible people believe anyway for some bizarre reason.
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 11:48 am
here are the 2 best conspiracy types. 1; the one that is never found out 2; one with massive plausible deneability
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 11:38 am
never said it was legit just pointed at a hole
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 11:35 am
again just showing the flaw in the reasoning
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 11:34 am
again I was just pointing out the flaw in the reasoning
Renza - April 19, 2013, 10:09 am
Also, why would there even be a burden of proof on proving who it wasn't, rather than gathering information, sorting facts, and determining the answer by what is known rather than what is a**umed?
StoneTools - April 19, 2013, 10:08 am
Most conspiracy theories avoid revealing any facts that would detract from the conspiracy. So, the absence of facts just fires up their imaginations and they invent them as they go.
Renza - April 19, 2013, 10:07 am
There's one more problem that you haven't brought up. that would be the ever present issue of "facts" of which there were few to none by the time this conspiracy theory started. So how exactly could there be any legitimacy to it?
PapaFox - April 19, 2013, 9:50 am
Or if you want people to believe it WAS the government. Or the Illuminati. Or Opus Dei, FEMA, the UN, the New Word Order, the Jewish-controlled Fed, the Freemasons... or whatever paranoia du jour you want.
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 8:31 am
especialy if you want to make people believe it wasn't the goverment
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 8:30 am
keep it simple
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 8:30 am
start it simple
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 8:29 am
because with any conspiracy there are 2 rules
ipaprime - April 19, 2013, 8:28 am
merely commenting on the missthinking in the poster IF it was as Vicky puts it a false flag atack
Renza - April 18, 2013, 7:31 pm
Yeah, unfortunately there are a lot of paranoids out there still. While some can make reasonable arguments for conspiracy, you'd think that there would at least be a certain period of "holy crap, that sucks for the people standing next to that" though.
Cannabal - April 18, 2013, 4:49 pm
Understandably enough, after 9/11, everyone is getting on the conspiracy theory bandwagon.
Renza - April 18, 2013, 2:12 pm
really? the government is using home made claymores as a misdirection tactic? are you sure it's not the duck mafia or maybe the forward alien scouts looking for a way to breach our tin foil hat defenses?
Cannabal - April 18, 2013, 11:54 am
Do you think Family Guy had prior intel of this event before it happened?
ipaprime - April 18, 2013, 8:13 am
do you not understand the concept of misdirection?
